Bernhard Furchner

Lecturer for didactics and methodology of music, studied musicology and pedagogy at the University of Berne, worked as qualified secondary school teacher of music, as primary school teacher, violin teacher, first violin and leader of the string quartet Hist'Artists and of the folk music group Fiori Musicali, and as concertmaster of the city orchestra Grenchen; at present first violinist of the Salonorchester Langenthal. 

• Since 2006, artistic director / conductor of the Choir of Nations, whose founding he co-initiated.
• Directs the institut für kultur und musik (Institute for Culture and Music), cultural management for social innovation.
• Managing director of Sociami International®, service for individual and sustainable travelling in Cuba.
• Engaged in the donation project „Violins for Cuba“ which sends donated instruments to Cuba where they are also repaired.
